How to enable Two-Factor Authentication

This is a quick article on how to enable two-factor authentication (2FA). 2FA greatly increases account security, and we recommend enabling it regardless of your account balance. Should you have any problems or questions, don’t hesitate to contact our support any time!

1) Go to the Account page

Log in to your Infinity Hash account. Click on the user icon on mobile, or select “Account” in the sidebar if you are on desktop. This will bring you to the Account page, where you can see all available contracts.

2) Install a 2FA app

On the “Account” page, click on the yellow “Enable 2FA” button.

Next, we’ll install a 2FA app. We recommend Google Authenticator for ease of use (there are great open-source alternatives or the default password manager on iPhones too). Hover over the QR-code icon for your phone type if you want to directly install a 2FA app by scanning a QR code.

3) Scan and confirm your 2FA code

Next, open the 2FA-app you just installed and:

  1. Scan the big QR code with the 2FA app.
  2. Write down your backup key (in case you lose your phone). This is optional. Never share this with anyone (not even our support team; they’ll never ask for it)!
  3. Enter the 6-digit code your 2FA-app is displaying for you and click on confirm.

PS: In case you are on mobile only and can’t scan the QR code, just copy the backup key (2) and paste it into your 2FA app. This will achieve the same goal.

4) Check your two-factor authentication status

If your confirmation code was correct, you should see a green check mark on your security status for 2FA. From now on, the login page will ask you for the 6-digit code from your 2FA app every time you log in. The code changes automatically every 30 seconds.

PS: Should you have any problems, please don’t hesitate to contact our support!

This usually happens if your phone’s time isn’t synced correctly. Make sure your device’s time is set to “Automatic” or “Network Provided” in the system settings, then try again.

Yes. We don’t recommend this, and you won’t be able to make withdrawals with 2FA disabled. If you still want to disable (or reset) your 2FA, please contact our support team.
