This is our 74th post in the Infinity Hash Weekly Update series for Dec 30 2024.

This week we added a few new miners and made our 6th share burn. Mining profits for Infinity Hash went down a bit and the share price for IHS going down together with Bitcoin. Apart from the usual data and updates, we also included a 2024 recap with new lifetime charts, an updated community survey and a few video and article links in this weekly update.

2024 Recap – Happy new year 2025!

Before we dive into this weeks numbers, we wanted to add a small recap for the year 2024 and provide you with an overview of the progress we made since 1st of January 2024.

A Year of Rapid Growth for Infinity Hash

As we close the chapter on 2024, we reflect on what has been a transformative period for us. This has truly been the year when the Infinity Hash project came into its own. While other mining companies struggled to survive after the April halving, our cheap electricity and reinvestment strategy ensured we remained profitable.

Project metrics comparing the start and the end of 2024

At the same time, we were able to expand our hashrate at a truly remarkable pace. With the support of our incredible community, we achieved this by prioritizing efficiency and applying our unique reinvestment strategy, which enabled us to expand our farm without the need to issue additional shares.

Tremendous Hashrate Expansion

This year marked a period of impressive growth for our mining operations. Starting with a hash rate of 13.2 PH/s at the beginning of 2024, we closed the year at an astounding 117.7 PH/s — a more than eightfold increase. This was achieved through the deployment of 796 new ASIC miners, with a focus on modern models like the Whatsminer M60.

These more efficient machines helped maintain our hash price very competitive, which was crucial to navigate the low mining profitability post-halving. In total over the year, our mining operation produced a total of 20.17 BTC, 95% of which came from block rewards and 5% from Bitcoin network fees. As of today, our daily Bitcoin production is around 0.065 BTC.

Reinvestment: Building for the Future

Our reinvestment strategy has been key in providing these results. Over the course of 2024, the reinvestment budget amounted to $279,719, which funded the acquisition of 112 additional ASIC miners without the issuance of any additional shares and covered all equipment and miner repairs for the full year of 2024.

With nearly two reinvestment miners added per week, they accounted for approximately one-sixth of all the miners we added throughout the year. This helped us offer a much higher hashrate per share, which contributed to the more than 20% increase in IHS price since the beginning of 2024.

Looking Ahead to 2025

With the foundation we’ve built in 2024, we are entering 2025 with a renewed sense of purpose and ambition. Our focus will remain on scaling our operations, increasing mining efficiency and encouraging community participation.

Plans for the year include further expansion of our mining capacity, the advancement of new systems like hydro-cooled containers and flare gas utilization, and rolling out user-driven features that enhance platform transparency and usability. These goals are aimed at solidifying Infinity Hash’s position in the mining industry while continuing to deliver consistent rewards to our growing community.

New Miners added to Infinity Hash from 2024-12-23 to 2024-12-29

Miner updates

New miners moved into the containers this week. A miner has also returned from repair and is now running again. Another miner could not be repaired on the farm and was sent away for repair. A few M50 miners also had problems with their power supplies, but could be repaired on site at the farm.

New container

Towards the end of the week, work continued on a new container for upcoming miners. Parts that were not needed were cut out of the container, a door was installed and the switchboard was fitted.

#6 share supply burn

This week we burned 5000 IHS worth over 18.15k USD at the current and worth over 20k USD based on the average purchase price.

This will be the last burn for 2024 and increase rewards. We are looking forward to continue with more burns over time.
